How To Boldly Get Out Of Your Comfort Zone

Transformation Starts with Struggle

(If you’re not a Medium member, you can read the story here.)

The life of a caterpillar is boring — until it’s not.

Munching on leaves day after day, your entire life follows the same routine over and over again.

Safe? Yes. Boring? You bet.

Little do you know, incredible transformation is just around the corner.

One day, you stop eating and start spinning a chrysalis around yourself. For a while, everything is dark, cramped, and uncomfortable in there. You can’t see it yet, but amazing changes are happening inside that chrysalis!

This unseen metamorphosis is necessary for you to emerge as a beautiful butterfly.

When you finally break free, you’ll be totally different. You’ll have the ability to fly! The new you is ready to spread its wings and soar.

Sound familiar?

This butterfly metaphor shows that discomfort and struggle are necessary. They are needed for personal growth.

It’s about getting out of your comfort zone. All transformation begins with discomfort.
